The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine held its annual
scientific conference called, ACEM 08 in Wellington, New Zealand during
late November 2008. The overarching theme being Leadership in Emergency Medicine.
In
addition this meeting marked the 25th Silver Jubilee celebration
of the first ACEM Scientific Meeting held in 1984.
Since its
inception earlier in 2008 the EMIG has sought to foster interest in
Emergency Medicine, increase student clinical exposure and provide
hands on teaching with experienced Emergency Medicine Doctors and
Consultants.
Your EMIG facilitators, our advisor Dr James
Kwan and Dr Wendy Hu have collaborated to produce an abstract
that reports on the aims and activities of the EMIG. This was
submitted for acceptance at this scientific meeting.
We are proud to announce that our submission was accepted and
were provided the opportunity to report to the greater
Emergency Medicine community of the benefits your EMIG.
Your
facilitators thank our student colleagues and dedicated Emergency
Medicine doctors and consultants for their continued support of the
EMIG.
